Job summary

IQ City Foundation in India is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead hospital purchasing, contracts, and vendor relations. The role focuses on strategy, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of medical supplies and equipment.

You will drive end-to-end procurement activities, oversee a procurement team, and ensure compliance with GST, NABH, and statutory requirements. Experience in healthcare procurement is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: Graduate in any discipline.
• Preferred: MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Materials Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with requirements.
• Plan and manage end-to-end purchasing activities.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with reliable vendors.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate prices and terms.
• Manage POs, contracts, rate agreements, and procurement documentation.
• Ensure availability of medical equipment, consumables, medicines, surgical items, and general materials.
• Monitor purchase costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Coordinate with Stores, Finance, Clinical, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Administration.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery timelines, quality, and service levels.
• Maintain approved vendor lists and conduct periodic vendor evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, GST, statutory requirements, and hospital standards.
• Manage tenders, rate contracts, and annual procurement agreements.
• Monitor market prices and conduct regular price benchmarking.
• Prepare procurement MIS, reports, and management dashboards.
• Resolve vendor-related issues, shortages, delays, and quality concerns.
• Lead and guide the purchase/procurement team.
• Maintain proper records and documentation for audits.
• Support NABH and other regulatory compliance related to procurement and vendor management.
