Job summary

Maxivision Eye Hospital is seeking a procurement and supply chain professional to manage day-to-day activities, coordinate with departments, and ensure timely availability of medical and non-medical supplies.

You will monitor stock levels, coordinate with vendors, verify receipts, support stock reconciliation, and drive cost optimization within the hospital's procurement function.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital procurement and inventory management.
• Familiarity with vendor management and RFP processes.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in healthcare procurement.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.

• Raise and process purchase requests/orders in accordance with hospital policies.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding quotations, orders, deliveries, and payment documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of medical and non-medical supplies.
• Maintain stock levels and avoid stock-outs, overstocking, and wastage.
• Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors for on-time delivery.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement and supply chain activities for the hospital.
• Coordinate with departments to understand material requirements and ensure timely availability.
• Raise and process purchase requests/orders in accordance with hospital policies.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding quotations, orders, deliveries, and payment-related documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of medical and non-medical supplies.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and avoid stock-outs, overstocking, and unnecessary wastage.
• Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
• Coordinate with stores, pharmacy, OT, clinical departments, and administration for material requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, stock movement, receipts, and issue transactions.
• Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers, and stock rotation of applicable medical and consumable items.
• Support periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
• Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory and report the same to the concerned team.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and maintain updated vendor records.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with hospital policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular reports related to procurement, inventory, consumption, and pending orders.
• Coordinate with finance/accounts teams for invoice verification and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement within the supply chain function.
