Job summary

Amor Management Consultants in Pune is assisting a leading global industrial technology and machinery company to hire an Assistant Manager for Electrical & Electronics Procurement. The role emphasizes SAP MRP, material planning, supplier management, and uninterrupted production.

The incumbent will lead procurement of control units, drives, sensors, and power supplies, manage POs, and ensure on-time delivery above 95%.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics required.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Electrical & Electronics Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Material Planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in SAP MRP, procurement, inventory management, and Purchase Order management.
• Experience in procuring Electrical & Electronics components and sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning and procurement for Electrical & Electronics commodities to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Execute SAP MRP and material planning based on production schedules, forecasts, BOM, and demand requirements.
• Manage procurement of critical components including control units, electrical sub-assemblies, drives, sensors, power supplies, cables, and related components.
• Manage Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, supplier commitments, and PO rescheduling based on demand changes.
• Develop and manage domestic suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of supply.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and drive OTD above 95%, including expediting critical materials.
• Drive inventory optimization and reduction while maintaining required material availability.
• Manage supplier performance, supply risks, and contingency plans for critical commodities.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to align material requirements and production schedules.
• Support supplier negotiations and initiatives related to cost savings, cost avoidance, and procurement efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers and Finance teams for timely resolution of invoice and payment issues.
• Build strong supplier relationships and continuously evaluate supplier capacity, performance, and capability.

Candidate Profile

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Electrical & Electronics Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Material Planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP MRP, procurement, inventory management, and Purchase Order management.
• Experience in procuring Electrical & Electronics components and sub-assemblies.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, supplier quality requirements, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong supplier management, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience in managing multiple suppliers and commodities with a strong focus on delivery, cost, inventory, and supply continuity.
