Job summary

Steel Strips Wheels is seeking a procurement professional to manage tools, spares, and services for PAN India plants. The role involves vendor selection, RFQ processes, and ensuring timely procurement of mechanical components.

The candidate should have B.Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering and be able to read mechanical drawings. Strong SAP experience and supplier negotiation skills are essential for ensuring cost-effective procurement and on-time deliveries.

• Procurement of tools, materials and services across PAN India plants.
• Experience in supplier selection and RFQ processes.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure Tool Room, RND, Castings, Die maintenance spares for PAN India plants.
• Create Approval Note & PO in SAP for PAN India Plants.
• Coordinate with vendors for critical items and follow up on deliveries.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement of Tool Room, RND Department, Castings, Die maintenance Spares for PAN India Plants.
• Supplier selection based on nature of item & floating RFQ based on that.
• Making Approval Note & PO in SAP for PAN India Plants.
• Responsible for the follow up with Vendors for Critical items.
• Responsible for the Tyres Purchase & Standard Bolts/Studs Purchase in Dappar Plant
• Development of alternate suppliers for better pricing and other terms.
• Delivery follow up for processed items and to expedite Plant urgencies related to deliveries
• Processing of advance payments to expedite delivery of critical items.
• Frequent Visit to plant to Catering plant criticalities & for better understanding of running issues.
• Responsible for Coordination of inter-department like accounts for payment to vendor and PPC production & stores for releasing production plans
• Responsible for Import Shipment related to Tooling items.
• Negotiating with vendors for the best possible pricing.
• NPD Tools cost finalization & procurement as per requirement for all NPD project
• Monthly Monitoring of Commodity Price Movement & Reporting
• Taking Freight rates for the import as well as domestic consignments

Responsible for Service Code Creation for PAN INDIA all Plant in SAP

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech or BE in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production Engg. (Mandatory)
• All material/service indents processed and approved within 15 days.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings (Important)
