Job summary

Fosroc India is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage and optimize supplier relationships for raw materials, packing, and engineering items. You will interact with global supply chains for imported items, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining cost controls.

The ideal candidate holds BE/Science/Commerce with around 10 years of experience, preferably in construction chemicals, chemical processes, or paints, and has hands-on ERP experience

Qualifications

• BE/Science/Commerce graduate with 10 years of experience in relevant industry.
• Experience in construction chemical, chemical process, or paints preferred.
• Exposure to ERP environment and purchase order module; strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control external suppliers for raw materials, packing, and engineering items at competitive prices.
• Coordinate with global supply chain for imported items—price, orders, delivery times.
• Build strong supplier relationships aligning with internal customer expectations.
• Identify new suppliers, negotiate terms, and finalize rate contracts.
• Prepare and upload STD cost in the DAX system monthly and monitor costs.
• Maintain inventory levels per management objectives and support new product sourcing.
• Assist project teams in procurement of engineering items and services; contract finalization.
• Uphold purchasing ethics and policies to protect Fosroc India’s integrity.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Managing and controlling all the companys external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Raw Materials, Packing material, factored Goods and Engineering Items and ensure these are bought at the most Competitive prices .


• Interact and coordinate with Global supply chain for GSC controlled Imported items for prices, placement of order and agree delivery time.


• Manage relationships and ways of working with key suppliers to align understanding & commitment with internal customer expectations and visit Key Suppliers to support companys vendor development programmes


• Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate


• Coordinating and Managing Estimated Average cost calculation and timely upload of STD cost in the Dax system each month .


• Monitor and maintain inventory levels consistent with inventory management objectives where needed/applicable


• Support new product and packing material development in Identifying vendors, supplying samples, negotiating prices and finalisation of rate contract


• Support project team in procurement of Engineering Items and services viz -source selection, negotiation and finalisation of contract


• Demonstrates & performs in accordance with sound business ethics, purchasing standards, policies & procedures to give Fosroc India the highest possible perceived integrity in all supplier relationships

Preferred candidate profile

• BE /Science or commerce Graduate with 10 years of experience preferably construction chemical industry , chemical process industry or paints


• Additional qualification in Materials Management


• At least 3 -4 years of experience at Asst Manager level.


• Import Procedure & documentation


• Should have worked in ERP Environment and have hands on experience in Purchase order module and report generation


• Excellent organizational & negotiation skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, and plan for future contingencies


• Good communication and interpersonal skills required
