Assistant Manager- Project Engineer – Solar (Installation & Liaisoning)

Department: Projects / Execution

Experience: 4–8 years (Solar / EPC preferred)

Role Overview

The Sr. Project Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end execution of rooftop/ground-mounted solar projects, including site execution, contractor management, and liaisoning with DISCOM authorities for approvals, net metering, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution
  • Manage end-to-end solar project execution (residential, commercial & industrial)
  • Conduct site surveys, feasibility analysis, and system sizing
  • Ensure installation as per design, safety standards, and timelines
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
  • Handle approvals with DISCOMs (BSES, TPDDL, etc.)
  • Manage net metering applications, inspections, and commissioning approvals
  • Ensure compliance with state policies, regulations, and documentation
  • Follow up regularly with DISCOM officials to avoid delays
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and submit all technical and regulatory documents
  • Maintain project documentation (SLD, drawings, test reports, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to MNRE & state solar policies
  • Supervise EPC contractors and installation teams
  • Monitor quality of installation and materials
  • Resolve on-site issues and technical challenges
• Client Coordination
  • Act as a single point of contact for project updates
