Job Description – Project Manager (Solar)

Position: Project Manager – Solar

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Solar to lead and manage end‑to‑end execution of solar power projects, ensuring delivery within defined time, cost, quality, and safety parameters. The role involves coordination with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution from planning to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage utility‑scale or large rooftop solar projects from initiation to handover.
• Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and quality standards.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors at site.
• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely completion of trial runs, commissioning, and handover.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities.
• Lead and mentor site teams to achieve performance targets.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil) or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in solar project execution, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in EPC solar projects, including commissioning and grid synchronization.
• Knowledge of solar plant design, construction practices, and safety norms.
• Proven ability to manage large site teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera / Excel for project tracking.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on projects in Gujarat or similar terrains.
• Familiarity with client handling and contractual obligations.
• Ability to handle fast‑track project execution.
