Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead and manage Wet Process operations for sewing thread manufacturing. The role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing costs, ensuring sustainability compliance, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on expertise in HTHP package dyeing, shade management, and process control, along with proven team leadership capabilities.
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech in Textile Chemistry/processing/technology
Experience
- 8-12 years of experiences in package dyeing operations
- Preference for candidates from sewing thread / thread manufacturing industry
- Mandatory hands‑on experience in HTHP (High Temperature High Pressure) package dyeing machines
Key Responsibilities
1. Dyeing Process & Quality Management
- Strong understanding of yarns, dyestuffs, chemicals, and water quality parameters
- Ensure achievement of required shades and quality standards through optimized processes
- Manage recipe development and shade approvals using CCM (Computer Color Matching) systems
- Identify and resolve dyeing‑related issues and shopfloor abnormalities
- Ensure compliance with color fastness standards and quality systems
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA for process improvements
- Drive initiatives for quality enhancement, productivity, and cost reduction
2. Production Management
- Plan and execute production schedules to maximize machine utilization and output
- Monitor and improve key KPIs such as:
- Machine Utilization
- Right First Time (RFT%)
- Re-dyeing & Rejection %
- Manpower Productivity (Kg/Man-Hour)
- Operator Efficiency
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards
- Lead reduction initiatives in chemical, steam, water, power consumption, and wastewater
- Optimize process parameters for improved efficiency and cost control
3. Sustainability & EHS
- Basic knowledge of RSLs and MRSLs
- Familiarity with ZDHC, Higg Index, and OEKO-TEX standards
- Ensure adherence to EHS norms and sustainability practices
- Support initiatives for resource conservation and responsible chemical management
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise operators, supervisors, and technicians
- Build team capability through training and development
- Improve team productivity, discipline, and engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Utility)
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and customers
