Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Weaving, Loom & Dyeing Manager to manage the complete weaving and dyeing operations, including production, manpower, quality, machine efficiency, dyeing processes, and day-to-day departmental activities. The candidate must have strong practical knowledge of sling loom operations, weaving processes, and dyeing, along with proven experience in managing manpower and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Loom & Weaving Operations
- Manage the complete loom and weaving section and ensure smooth daily production.
- Plan and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Manage and allocate manpower efficiently across shifts and production activities.
- Supervise loom operators, helpers, supervisors, and other weaving staff.
- Have strong practical knowledge of sling loom operation, loom settings, weaving processes, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor loom efficiency, production output, machine utilization, and downtime.
- Identify and reduce weaving defects, rejection, wastage, and production losses.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for loom breakdowns and technical problems.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
- Dyeing Operations
- Manage and supervise the dyeing section and ensure smooth production.
- Plan dyeing production according to production requirements and delivery schedules.
- Ensure correct dyeing recipes, shade matching, temperature, timing, and process parameters are followed.
- Monitor dyeing quality and ensure consistent shade and color quality.
- Reduce dyeing defects, reprocessing, chemical wastage, and production losses.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for shade approval and quality inspection.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of dyes and chemicals.
- Maintain proper dyeing records, production reports, recipes, and process parameters.
- Coordinate with weaving, production planning, quality, and other departments for smooth material flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures while handling dyes and chemicals.
- Continuously improve dyeing processes to achieve better quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Manpower & Team Management
- Manage manpower requirements for loom, weaving, and dyeing operations.
- Allocate workers according to production requirements and shift schedules.
- Train, guide, and motivate operators, supervisors, and workers.
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the department.
- Monitor attendance, manpower utilization, and workforce performance.
- Develop skilled operators and supervisors through proper training.
- Production & Quality
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Maintain required quality standards in weaving and dyeing.
- Monitor production efficiency, rejection, wastage, and reprocessing.
- Analyze production problems and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and review daily production and efficiency reports.
- Ensure proper coordination between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Dyeing departments.
- Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure proper safety practices throughout the loom, weaving, and dyeing sections.
- Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Ensure safe handling of dyes, chemicals, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensure workers follow all company safety rules and procedures.
Required Qualification
B.Tech / B.E. In Textile Engineering - Mandatory/Preferred
Diploma in Textile Engineering may be considered based on relevant experience.
Strong technical knowledge of weaving, loom operations, dyeing, and textile manufacturing processes.
Required Experience
5-10 years of relevant experience in textile manufacturing, preferably in loom, weaving, and dyeing operations.
Practical Experience With Sling Looms Is Highly Preferred.
Proven experience in manpower management, production planning, quality control, and team leadership.
Experience handling multiple shifts and production teams will be an advantage.
