Job summary

Angel and Genie is seeking a Head of Dyeing Production in Gurgaon to lead the dyeing laboratory, develop shades, and ensure lab-to-bulk reproducibility. The role requires 15-20 years in dyeing production, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

You will oversee dyeing processes, approve recipes, manage testing, and drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, and quality control to meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of experience in dyeing production, preferably in Zipper Industries.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dyeing laboratory for shade development, color matching, and recipe formulation.
• Ensure accurate lab-to-bulk shade reproducibility.
• Approve dye recipes and maintain SOPs for lab trials.
• Manage testing of dyes, chemicals, and auxiliaries before bulk production.
• Maintain records of shade approvals, lab dips, and customer requirements.
• Oversee daily dyeing production planning in coordination with production and planning teams.
• Ensure timely execution of dyeing processes while meeting quality standards.
• Monitor machine utilization, production output, and process efficiency.
• Implement improvements to reduce re-dyeing, shade variation, and wastage.
• Ensure smooth transition from lab sample to bulk production.
• Ensure consistency of shade, fastness properties, and product quality.
• Investigate and resolve dyeing defects such as shade variation, patchiness, staining, and uneven dyeing.
• Work closely with the quality team for final product approvals.
• Maintain compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
• Optimize dyeing processes for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and chemical efficiency.
• Introduce new dyes, chemicals, and technologies to improve results.
• Implement best practices for energy, water, and chemical consumption.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and chemical handling procedures.
• Coordinate with EHS teams to maintain safe working conditions.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability and wastewater treatment guidelines.
