Job Title: Executive - Manufacturing

Role Purpose
Manage the shift lab/dyeing processes and resources efficiently, so that dye house KPI targets of RFT, CQ, LpMpD, attempts per match and lead times are achieved and improved upon consistently. For laboratory, ensure smooth operation and coordination of all laboratory activities relating to LRM/DTM Coordination, Colour Matching, Sample preparation, machine operations, on shift and during shift handovers. The position also ensures optimum utilisation of resources like people, machinery, and energy during the shift, while ensuring compliance with SOPs for all shop floor activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Health and Safety – leading and lagging indicator performance, review of TaRA, MOC, MSA, equipment checklist.
- Training of employees on SOP, training hours per person per annum.
- Employee absenteeism, attrition levels, 6S score of the zone.
- Sustainability – water L/kg, energy Kwh/kg, and waste %.
- Customer complaints per 100 order lines, TUC Kg and fail store stock movements.
- Lab service level in 24 hours and 48 hours, dyeing lead time in 24 hours.
- Attempts per match, RFT%, CQ%, operative hours per dye lot, operative hours per 100kg, LpMpD, efficiency and utilisation %, red‑tail analysis and WFT analysis.
- Redyeing success rate and DTM development success rate.
- Productivity benefit projects delivered, LSS projects handled, Kaizen and OPL developed.
Requirements
- Engineering or postgraduate degree in relevant sciences (textile technology, chemistry, textile processing, textile chemistry, manmade fibre technology) with 2–3 years of experience.
- Practical knowledge of dye house systems, e.g., colour database management, recipe management, dye sect, Sedo master, Technorama, LA & Lawer system colour and chemical dispensing or similar system in textiles.
- Excellent communication and team‑working skills.
- Knowledge of SAP, relevant transactions.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and laws.
- Awareness of ISO quality, health & safety and environment management systems, GRS/GOTS, etc. (added advantage).
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or awareness (added advantage).
- Knowledge of chemical safety, MSDS, ZDHC, Chemcheck, Oeko‑tex, etc.
