Job summary

Ferns N Petals in India is seeking a proactive procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing, optimize costs, and ensure uninterrupted supply for our operations. The role focuses on end-to-end procurement across categories, supplier onboarding, and negotiations.

You will collaborate with finance, planning, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain inventory, monitor market trends, and implement cost-saving initiatives while complying with policies and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, gifting, manufacturing, or consumer products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring timely sourcing and availability of materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, payment terms, and service level agreements to achieve cost optimization.
• Ensure timely purchase order creation, follow-ups, and coordination with vendors for deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse, category, and operations teams to prevent stock shortages.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, pricing trends, and sourcing opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance parameters.
• Resolve vendor-related issues including quality concerns, delayed deliveries, and payment coordination.
• Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and MIS for management review.
• Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and audit requirements.
• Work closely with finance, planning, category, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure seamless procurement execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and vendor management.
