Job summary

Lenskart is seeking an Assistant Manager Optometry Training to lead and deliver high-quality training in refraction, dispensing, optical processes, and clinical skills to our retail teams. The role focuses on strengthening optometry capabilities, improving training effectiveness, and driving skill development across stores.

Responsibilities include conducting training programs, coaching, and on-ground store visits to assess skills, while updating content to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Optometry (mandatory).
• 7–8 years of optometry experience.
• 3–4 years of training, coaching, or capability development experience.
• Strong knowledge of refraction, dispensing, and optical products/processes.

• Lead and conduct training on refraction, dispensing, optical techniques, and customer experience.
• Plan and execute classroom, practical, and on-the-job training programs.
• Use role plays, mock sessions, assessments, and innovative learning methods to improve training effectiveness.
• Monitor trainee performance and provide structured feedback and coaching.
• Conduct store visits for on-ground coaching, skill assessments, and capability improvement.
• Develop and update training content based on business and capability requirements.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend focused training interventions.
• Collaborate with Store, Area, and Zonal Managers to drive optometry capability and performance. Track training effectiveness and trainee performance metrics.
