Job summary

Apraava Renewable Energy seeks a Principal Asset Manager to lead solar asset operations at Veltoor. You will coordinate planning, forecasting, and performance tracking, ensuring warranty management and regulatory compliance across all contracts.

You will oversee on-site implementation, drive continuous improvement, train contract personnel, and liaise with stakeholders to safeguard revenue realization and asset uptime.

Responsibilities

• Support business planning for Solar Assets by providing generation and revenue figures for Veltoor asset.
• Provide inputs to Head - OM (Solar) on projected generation revenue and budget requirements.
• Maintain high plant grid availability and forecasting accuracy.
• Track asset performance against budgets and update management.
• Ensure warranty management claims with OEMs align with agreements.
• Oversee asset management for Veltoor asset and ensure contractual compliance.
• Support on-site implementation of defined systems, policies and procedures for asset management.
• Execute Asset management activities including Dispatch Management, Performance, Availability and HSSE compliance.
• Keep up with best practices in solar asset management for continuous improvement.
• Train and authorize contract personnel on operating procedures and HSSE compliance.
• Conduct audits w.r.t OM and HSSE systems within defined timelines.
• Support CSR by providing local stakeholder references.
• Coordinate with Admin/Land teams on ROW issues and resolutions.
• Monitor asset performance and adjust business plan as needed.
• Maintain documentation for audits, invoices, and land records.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Major Activities Support business planning for Solar Assets, by providing generation and revenue figures for Veltoor asset

• Provide inputs to Head - OM (Solar)on projected generation revenue figures and budget requirement for Veltoor asset (such as for OM, manpower, statutory fees and other related charges and fees)
• Maintain high availability of plant grid and high forecasting accuracy
• Track asset performance against budgets/business plan and provide periodic updates to management on the same.
• Ensure warranty management claims with the OEM s in line to the agreement.

Oversee asset management for Veltoor asset, ensuring smooth functioning and compliance with all contractual terms conditions

• Support on-site implementation of defined systems, policies and procedures for effective asset management in line with the best practices in global solar energy market
• Efficiently execute all activities pertaining to Asset management, Dispatch Management (incl. FS), Performance Management, Availability management, HSSE compliance and Knowledge management as per defined norms and guidelines
• Keep abreast of the latest practices and technologies in solar asset management; identify practices feasible for Apraava Energy to ensure continuous improvement of the assets.
• Ensure proper training of all contract personnel on asset operating procedures and SOPs
• Train and Authorize contract personnel for related HSSE Compliance
• Ensure conduct of Audits w.r.t OM and HSSE systems based on defined timelines.
• Support the CSR Team by providing references of local community stakeholders
• Support the Admin / Land Team by providing first hand information w.r.t local ROW issues and coordinate with local stakeholders / AMC contractor for resolution of RoW issues, as required

Monitor asset performance to ensure compliance with defined business plan

• Monitor asset performance to ensure OM performance as per business plan; Identify issues impacting asset performance, analyse reasons.
• Provide inputs for adjustment of the business plan as per performance and provide forecasts to the management
• Develop strong relationships with Dis Coms and other government bodies to ensure timely submission of all invoices and realization of revenue for Veltoor asset
• Ensure timely maintenance and collation of all asset management documents, contract copies, invoices, land documents etc. for future reference and audit preparedness
• Ensure that documentation management is at all times updated . for future reference and audit preparedness.

Monitor compliance of all asset activities with applicable HSSE parameters and policies to drive required standards at work, ensuring smooth plant operations with zero instances of non-compliance

• Provide inputs for finalization of HSSE policies and procedures for Veltoor asset in line with global standards and best in-class practices
• Conduct periodic meetings and toolbox talks for all asset personnel (including contractors and sub-contractors) to drive awareness and knowledge of Apraava s HSSE policies and procedures
• Report all HSSE accidents and near misses as per defined timelines; Monitor timely implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
• Ensure compliance to HSSE norms and guidelines for all asset activities; Highlight cases of non-compliance to Head - OM (Solar)

• Knowledge of solar resource assessment
• Understanding of Solar Asset operations and maintenance
• Understanding of Contracting and Regulatory frameworks
• Commercial understanding of the functioning of the Apraava Energy business
• Negotiation skills
• 5-6 years of overall experience
• Specific experience of handling and supervising OM of solar plant
• Proficient in Asset Management of Solar Assets (upto 100 MW)
