The OC Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuringOnboarding Coordinator tasks (e.g., initiation support, new hire paperwork,job descriptions, etc.) are completed in anaccurate, timely, and efficient manner and infull compliance with all legislative requirements and company policies. TheAssistant Manager will provide support to the Onboarding Coordinator analystsas needed and work under direction from the Manager to ensure HR servicedelivery is consistently high-quality while also improving advanced new hireand onboarding activities. The Assistant Manager will collaborate withthe Manager and Director in continuous process review of work streams,educate staff on new processes, triage escalations from stakeholders, anddeliver data requests as necessary. The Assistant Manager will also driveand/or assist with key projects across the service group. The roledelivers service to staff, HR, employees, and other leaders across theorganization; resolves escalated issues and ensures compliance with HRpolicies, service level agreements, and established procedures.
Responsibilities:
Performance Reporting & Insights
- Performquality assurance checks on employee transactions
- Reviewand analyze team metrics on an ongoing basis to help continuouslyimprove service center operations
- Assistmanager with staffing levels for the department
- Workwith Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, andemploy an appropriate number of employees.
- Provideoversight and direction to employees in accordance with theorganization's policies and procedures
- Coach,mentor and develop staff, to include overseeing new employee onboardingand providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Leadstaff using a performance management and development process thatprovides an overall context and framework to encourage employeecontribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performancedevelopment planning.
- Appropriatelycommunicate organization information through department meetings,one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, and regular interpersonalcommunication.
- Fostera spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows fordisagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution,and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness,supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employeeand the department to succeed.
- Provideexcellent customer service by responding to online inquiries fromemployees and managers at all levels and resolve questions/issues byaccessing information in multiple systems on the computer.

- Mapcurrent workflows, document procedures, and recommend improvements thatreduce manual effort and improve cycle time, quality, or service.
- Trackoperational action items, follow through on open issues, and coordinatewith stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Supportimplementation of new tools, reporting enhancements, process controls,or business initiatives through testing, documentation, and adoptionactivities.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partnerswith Staff, COE’s, ITG, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, HR Business Partners,Managers, Employees, and other HROC Service Group leaders.
Data Quality, Governance &Compliance
- Will utilize GHR,Lawson, ATS, PreCheck, OC Tool, Case Management, Outlook Mailboxes andadhere to internal policies, confidentiality standards, anddocumentation requirements while handling business information andsensitive data.
