Job summary

EY India in Gurugram is seeking a data governance specialist to custodian master data records such as Suppliers, Landlords, Customers and Employees in Oracle Financials. You will ensure data integrity and perform validation before creating or updating records.

You will identify duplicates, run monthly quality checks, and uphold POPI or similar privacy regulations. You will support governance, ad-hoc analyses, and SLAs, contributing to process improvements and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain master data elements in Oracle Fin (Suppliers, Landlords, Customers, Employees)
• Ensure data integrity through control processes
• Validate data sets prior to Creation/Update of Master data records
• Identify duplicates across data collection points and resolve
• Run monthly data quality checks
• Adhere to data protection regulations (POPI or similar)
• Operate data governance across markets serviced by the center
• Support ad-hoc analyses for service center managers
• Deliver processes per documented SLAs

Job description

• As a custodian of all master data records, create and maintain master Data elements such as Suppliers, Landlords, Customers, Employees, etc.in Oracle Fin.
• Ensure effective controls and processes are in place which promote data integrity.
• Perform validation of various data sets and authorizations before Creation / update of Master data records.
• Ensure master data details and profiles are created / updated correctly and accurately in the system.
• Identify and analyze possible duplicates from multiple data collection points in the business.
• Run monthly data quality checks to maintain data integrity.
• Adhere to the protection of personal information (POPI) or similar legislations in each market related to the collection, storage, usage and destruction of customer, supplier, and landlord information.
• Operate the data governance process for the markets served by the service center, ensuring that internal information controls are complied with by clients and information requestors.
• Support service center managers in preparing ad-hoc analysis.
• Execute processes in line with documented SLAs.
• Contribute towards the implementing process improvements to enable standardization of accounting functions within the service center.
• Support implementation of system and process enhancements to drive efficiencies and scalability.
