Job summary

Diageo India is seeking an Assistant Manager - Customer Marketing in Kolkata to drive field-focused trade marketing and outlet-level activation. The role requires extensive market visits to ensure visibility and effective execution across retail and on-trade channels.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience in FMCG/beverage sales or trade marketing, with strong skills in BTL activations, distributor handling, and stakeholder management. Willingness to travel 4 days a week is essential.

Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years of experience in FMCG / Beverage / Alcobev sales or trade marketing.
• Strong exposure to BTL activations & retail execution.
• Experience in handling distributors, outlets, and field sales.
• Comfortable with extensive travel and market visits (4 days/week).
• Exposure to On-trade / Off-trade channels preferred.
• Good communication & stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute customer marketing & trade activation plans at outlet level.
• Drive in-store visibility through POSM, merchandising & branding.
• Manage vendors, promoters & on-ground execution.
• Conduct regular market visits and outlet mapping.
• Ensure execution of promotions, campaigns & activations.
• Track performance, ROI, and provide market feedback.
• Support sales team in achieving volume & distribution targets.
• Handle documentation (POs, bills, stock tracking, etc.).
