Suguna Foods in Odisha is seeking an experienced logistics professional to manage dispatches, plan deliveries, and optimize vehicle utilization across regions.

The role requires coordinating with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams; ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods, while enforcing policy and SOPs. Strong leadership, communication, and ethical standards are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics.
• Ability to guide and direct the team.
• Strong interpersonal skills for internal/ external stakeholders.
• Strong credibility and ethical compliance is must and zero tolerance to unethical process / system.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with despatches, suppliers and transport companies to coordinate logistics.
• Plan the delivery and dispatch of goods across regions.
• Plan allotment of vehicles in correct capacity and optimize routes.
• Track vehicles using GPS and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Ensure timely, safe delivery of goods (eg chick, egg, feed & food).
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and driver training; recruit staff as needed.
• Handle disciplinary issues and attendance at road accidents and insurance formalities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and logistics policy; implement SOPs.
• Prepare accident reports and MIS for expenses, goods and assets under scope.
• Monitor assets, vehicles and personnel; drive corrective actions based on reports.
• Collaborate with Corporate & Regional teams on new projects and installations.
• Aim for optimization of dispatches, routes, vehicles/assets for efficiency.
• Introduction of new vendors and cost controls; proper accounting of expenses/assets.
• Visit various locations at least monthly to review manpower and asset performance.

Role & responsibilities:

• Working closely with despatches, suppliers and transport companies.

• Tracking vehicle, using through GPS.
• Ensure goods delivery is correctly and safely, for example chick, egg, feed & food.
• Planning work rotates for vehicle service & supplier
• Organizing driver recruitment & training.
• Dealing with disciplinary issues.
• Knowledge of attending road accidents and formalities.
• Knowledge of vehicle insurance claim formalities.
• Planning for vehicle maintenance schedule.
• Ensuring optimum utilization of vehicles
• Preparing accident reports.
• Monitoring statutory compliances
• Corrective action based on GPS & other reports against Non-Performing Assets like Vehicles / Personnel / Drivers.
• Cross functional relation with Corporate & Regional teams for smooth Execution of New Projects/ Installation.
• Optimization of Dispatches, Routes, Vehicles / Assets for Efficiency.
• Introduction of New Vendors- Min over a Period of time.
• MIS,Proper Accounting of Expenses / Goods/ Assets under their Scope.
• Adherence to Logistics Policy / SOP & Implementation of the same in their respective region.
• Should visit the Various locations Under their Region at least once In a Month & review the Performance of Manpower & Assets
