Job summary

Tata Motors in Gujarat seeks a proactive Warehouse Operations Manager to plan and drive warehouse activities, coordinate with plant teams and service providers, and ensure efficient stock flow and SOP compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma (3 years), with 3+ years in automotive logistics, and strong Excel/SAP skills. You will lead a small team and engage with internal stakeholders to optimize costs and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage Warehouse operations with internal stakeholders, service providers and plant team.
• Implement warehouse management best practices, policies and processes to improve operational and financial performance.
• Deliver optimized warehouse solutions while maintaining quality and service within budget.
• Monitor delivery performances from plant movement to dispatch.
• Prepare warehouse operation budget and work toward cost reduction; stock receipt checks per SOP.
• Coordinate with PPC, production and contractors for timely FG receipts at in-gate and location.
• Ensure no unneeded vehicle movements back to plant after checking.
• Daily reconciliation of physical FG receipt and system transfer.
• Storage of Inventory; sending FG to locations per SOP.
• Maintain compliance at every process and optimize warehouse capacity.
• Adhere to standard storage norms; conduct regular inventory audits.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for proactive and experienced professional Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills/MS office skills Excel and Power Point, Knowledge of S&OP process, Transport management, Order management, Yard / Warehousing management, Strong knowledge of domestic logistics and distribution processes. This technical expertise in SAP and Excel, and the ability to manage a team also while working closely with internal stakeholders

Job Responsibility

Warehouse Ops Management

• Plan, manage Warehouse operations with internal stake holders, Warehouse service providers and plant team
• Implement Warehouse management best practices, principles, policies and processes to improve operational and financial performances
• Deliver best Warehouse management solutions while maintaining high levels of quality and service within the budgetary requirements
• Monitor delivery performances from plant movement to dispatch
• Prepare Warehouse operation budget and work for reduction in Warehouse management cost Stock Receipt Checking of FG before in-warding as per SOP
• Co-ordination with PPC, production and Contractor for timely receipts of FG in In-gate & sending to location

Ensure the vehicle is not ok vehicle going back to plant immediately after checking

• Daily Reconciliation of physical FG receipt & system transfer

Storage of Inventory

• Sending FG to location as per set SOP
• Ensure compliance to be maintained at every process
• Ensure Warehouse stocking to optimise Warehouse capacity and preventive measures to avoid damages.
• Ensure adherence of standard storage norms. Viz. battery Switch cut-off, Wiper blades positioning.
• Conduct weekly & monthly inventory audit with internal and external agency to maintain inventory accuracy at plant

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Diploma (3 years Full Time)

Experience: 3+ years Prior experience of working in Logistics/Distribution function in Automobile Company is preferred.
