Job summary

Resonia, formerly Sterlite Power, seeks an Assistant Manager - HSE to drive health, safety and environmental governance across our substations projects in India. The role involves identifying land-related safety risks, ensuring statutory compliance, and coordinating with project teams to enable smooth execution.

You will lead site inspections, implement HSE plans, manage incidents and contractor safety, and support audits and risk controls.

• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Knowledge of HSE compliance and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• HSE Compliance: Ensure implementation of HSE policies, project HSE plans, procedures and statutory requirements across sites.
• Risk & Safety Monitoring: Conduct site inspections, identify hazards/unsafe practices and ensure appropriate risk controls are implemented.
• Stop Work & Corrective Action: Exercise Stop Work Authority for critical safety deviations and ensure corrective actions before work resumes.
• Incident & Contractor Management: Drive contractor HSE compliance and manage reporting, investigation and closure of incidents, near misses and HSE non-conformities.
• HSE Governance & Reporting: Facilitate audits, toolbox talks and HSE meetings; maintain safety reports, action trackers and elevate critical risks to management

Position Title

Assistant Manager - HSE

Position Summary

To identify, evaluate, negotiate, and acquire suitable land parcels across India for construction of substations through lease, rental, or purchase arrangements. The role is responsible for scouting land opportunities, conducting due diligence, securing statutory permissions, completing commercial negotiations, and ensuring smooth handover of acquired land to project teams for execution.
