Job summary

Balasore Alloys is seeking a Site HR/IR professional to oversee contract labour operations, gate passes, headcount verification, wage disbursement checks and compliance document collection. You will ensure statutory filings under Mines Act and CLRA, and support grievance handling at shop-floor level.

Qualifications

• Site-based HR/IR experience in mining, cement, steel or a comparable industry.
• Familiarity with time office systems, biometric attendance and contractor compliance portals.
• Good interpersonal skills and comfort in working directly with workmen and contractors.
• Working knowledge of the local language of the region will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer contract labour operations gate passes, headcount verification, wage disbursement monitoring and compliance document collection.
• Maintain statutory registers, muster rolls, wage registers and returns under the Mines Act, CLRA and allied legislation.
• Assist in domestic enquiries, grievance redressal and shop-floor level dispute resolution.
• Coordinate welfare amenities — canteen, rest shelters, drinking water, sanitation, transport and colony maintenance.
• Support recruitment, on-boarding, induction training and statutory medical examination coordination.
• Maintain attendance, leave and time-office records and provide inputs to Payroll.
• Organise employee engagement activities, safety week, sports and festival celebrations at site.
