Job summary

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) invites applications for the role of Assistant Manager – Evaluation Section. The candidate will supervise the evaluation process, coordinate with evaluators, and manage evaluation schedules to ensure timely completion.

The ideal candidate holds a postgraduate degree with extensive experience at GITAM and has strong MS Excel/Word skills; familiarity with CodeTantra or similar systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree required.
• 10 years’ experience at GITAM or equivalent in a related role.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the evaluation process for answer scripts and ensure smooth conduct.
• Coordinate with evaluators, faculty, and academic departments for assignment and completion of evaluation work.
• Plan and monitor evaluation schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor online/offline evaluation systems such as CodeTantra and related MIS tools.
• Track pending evaluations and follow up with evaluators to meet deadlines.
• Verify marks entered by evaluators and identify discrepancies.

Reporting: The Assistant Manager shall report to the Assistant Controller of Examinations in the Evaluation Section.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Evaluation Process Supervision: Assist in overseeing the smooth conduct of answer script evaluation activities.
• Coordination with Evaluators: Coordinate with faculty members, evaluators, and academic departments for assignment and completion of evaluation work.
• Evaluation Schedule Management: Assist in planning, monitoring, and ensuring timely completion of evaluation schedules.
• CodeTantra / Evaluation System Monitoring: Supervise and monitor online/offline evaluation processes through platforms such as CodeTantra or other examination management systems.
• Pending Evaluation Tracking: Monitor pending evaluations and follow up with evaluators to ensure completion within deadlines.
• Data Verification: Verify marks entered by evaluators and identify discrepancies or incomplete submissions.
• Error Resolution: Assist in resolving evaluation-related issues such as missing
• Confidentiality and Security: Ensure strict confidentiality and secure handling of answer scripts, marks data, and evaluation records.
