Job summary

PSA BDP, a global supply chain leader, is seeking an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - HR & Admin in Bengaluru. You will develop HR and administration strategies, drive employee engagement, ensure compliance with labor laws, and streamline processes to support operational excellence.

  • PGDM or MBA in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • A diploma in Industrial Relations/Labor Laws will be an added advantage.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in HR and Administration, preferably in a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing facilities, vendors, transport, security, and office administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR and Administration strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive employee engagement, talent development, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and corporate guidelines.
  • Establish and continuously improve HR and administrative processes for operational excellence.
  • Build a positive workplace culture aligned with company values.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements and develop job descriptions.
  • Drive employee engagement programs and employee experience initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development programs in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support performance management, succession planning, and talent pipeline development.
  • Manage employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary actions, counseling, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, labor regulations, and HR policies.
  • Support compensation and benefits administration, benchmarking, and annual review exercises.
  • Monitor and control HR and Administration budgets.
  • Review vendor costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Ensure timely processing and verification of invoices and payments.
  • Prepare monthly reports on HR metrics, administration costs, and utilization.
  • Coach and guide employees and managers on HR policies and best practices.
  • Support leadership in talent development and succession planning.
  • Conduct regular performance discussions and development initiatives.
  • Build a high-performance and service-oriented culture.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, labor laws, and statutory regulations.
  • Drive awareness and implementation of compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee information.
  • Promote company values and foster a positive employee experience.
  • Lead employee engagement activities and culture-building initiatives.
  • Support diversity, inclusion, and well-being programs.
  • Ensure effective utilization of HRMS and administration systems.
