Job summary

Sone India is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience to manage accounting, taxation, month-end closing and financial reporting for a manufacturing setup. You will ensure timely, accurate reporting and statutory compliance while strengthening internal controls.

The role covers GST, TDS, income tax, audits, and liaison with auditors and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems like SAP/Oracle/Tally is preferred, with a focus on accuracy

Qualifications

• B.Com/M.Com/CA with 5-6 years post-qualification experience.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of relevant experience to manage and oversee accounting, taxation, month-end closing and financial reporting activities for a manufacturing organization. The role will involve ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and effective control over accounting operations.

Responsibilities

Month-End Closing & Reporting

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS and management reports.
• Ensure accurate booking of provisions, accruals, depreciation, expenses and other closing entries.
• Analyse variances against budget/prior periods and provide insights to management.
• Ensure timely submission of financial and operational reports to the Finance Head/CFO.

Accounting & Finance

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and ensure accuracy of books of accounts.
• Review accounts payable, receivables, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and general ledger.
• Ensure proper accounting of manufacturing-related transactions, inventory and expenses.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants and internal stakeholders.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Review GST returns, reconciliations and tax payments.
• Coordinate for tax assessments, notices and audits.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with applicable laws.
• Keep track of changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.

Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors.
• Prepare schedules, workings and supporting documents for audits.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Support in preparation of annual financial statements and related disclosures.

Candidate Profile

• B.com/Mcom/CA with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of month-end closing and MIS reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good command over MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle/Tally.
• Ability to independently manage finance and accounting activities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
