During your time with Probus Smart Things,
1. Utilities Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales and business development of company products and solutions within the power and energy utilities domain.
- Identify new business opportunities with DISCOMs, utilities, EPCs, and government bodies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell within existing accounts.
2. Client and Internal Team Coordination
- Act as a coordination point between clients, pre-sales, product, engineering, and internal bid teams.
- Gather and clearly communicate customer requirements, site inputs, and commercial expectations to internal teams.
- Support internal teams during solution finalization, pricing discussions, and proposal preparation.
- Ensure smooth information flow and alignment across teams for successful deal execution.
3. Proposal Writing & Documentation
- Coordinate with the internal team for tendering team by providing required inputs such as client details, scope clarifications, site information, and timelines.
- Support proposal preparation by aligning customer expectations with internal solution offerings.
- Assist in bid clarifications, revisions, and customer communication as required.
- No direct ownership of bid submission, but responsible for regional coordination and follow- through.
4. Customer Presentation & Demonstrations
- Conduct product presentations and solution demonstrations showcasing Probus IoT offerings for grid digitization and operational efficiency.
- Understand customer pain points and tailor demonstrations to specific utility use cases.
- Support proof-of-concept (PoC) discussions where required.
5. Marketing Events & Industry Engagement
- Represent Probus Smart Things at industry events, conferences, and utility forums.
- Support and lead participation in marketing initiatives, exhibitions, and trade shows.
- Strengthen brand positioning and build strategic relationships in the utilities ecosystem.
Required Qualifications and Skills-
- Graduation or post-graduation in engineering or other relevant fields; MBA in Marketing. Years of experience in Sales / Business Development.
- Proven Track Record of Sales & Business Development / Liasioning in State Discoms/Utilities.
- Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in crafting persuasive, data-driven proposals tailored to client needs.
- Understanding of utility procurement processes and government tenders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel across assigned regions. 5-8 The candidate shall be required to independently handle any one assigned region, either Western India (Gujarat, Goa, Chhattisgarh, etc.) or Northern India (Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, etc.), based on business requirements.Role & responsibilities
