Job summary

Kineco in Goa is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing for railway components. You will manage supplier selection, RFQ processes, and negotiations to ensure cost-effective, reliable supply aligned with project timelines.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, value engineering, and close collaboration with engineering, quality, and production teams to maintain a robust supplier base.

Qualifications

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with railway project and production requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for railway components and assemblies.
• Lead RFQ, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations and supplier finalization.
• Drive cost reduction, VA/VE, should-cost analysis and value engineering initiatives.
• Source sheet metal, fabricated, machined, electrical, electronic and other railway components.

Responsibilities

• Develop alternate suppliers and ensure supply-chain continuity.
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, payment terms, lead times and pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality and delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Projects and Finance teams for sourcing requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project schedules and production plans.
• Conduct supplier reviews, audits and capability assessments where required.
