Job summary

Poclain Hydraulics in India seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage suppliers, coordinate PO and forecasts, and ensure timely delivery of parts across domestic and imports.

You will drive lead-time reductions, optimize buying items (MOQs, quantities, etc.), conduct supplier capacity analysis, and collaborate with quality to resolve issues, while maintaining records and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier management and PO/Forecasting.
• Ability to optimize lead times and inventory control.
• Knowledge of forging and casting processes.
• Familiarity with supplier audits and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage suppliers (domestic and import) with PO and forecasts.
• Optimize logistics settings for BUY items, govern MOQs and lead times.
• Support production ramp and phasing for BUY/MAKE items.
• Coordinate with Quality to resolve supplier issues.
• Reduce dead/sleeping stock via monitoring incoming parts.
• Improve supplier delivery performance and lead times.
• Handle documentation and paperwork with suppliers.

Job description

• Management of suppliers (domestic and imports) as assigned - (PO & Forecasts)
• Logistic protocols - Settings optimization on BUY items (MOQ / MTQ / lead times /Planner code & Validation of SR/ASL/BPA) , Safety stocks re-sizing & Supplier KANBAN Management, ASN Implementation, Traceability of parts project
• Phasing in / out and production ramp up on BUY/MAKE items
• Supplier capacity follow up, Logistics Audit as per plan and action plan follow-up
• Engineering Change Order application on BUY/MAKE items
• No premium freight to the customer due to delay from supplier or production stoppage
• Suppliers homologation logistic side
• Coordinating with Quality department, purchase to sort out issues arising with suppliers.
• Coordinating with suppliers, for proper paperwork and maintain records.
• Reduction of Dead & Sleeping Stock on continuous monitoring of incoming parts
• To continuously strive for lead time reduction & supplier delivery performance increase
• Coordinate internally for effective Supply chain Management from Input to Output.
• Solving document issues with suppliers related to payment and other issues
• And other tasks given by the procurement manager and management
