Job summary

Sone India in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Head of Design to lead the design and creative output for high-profile hospitality and commercial interiors. You will oversee project design from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations and budgets.

You will mentor a design team, manage multiple projects, and drive collaboration with sales, operations, and clients to achieve commercial success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years professional experience in commercial and hospitality interiors.
• Proven ability to lead teams on high-profile projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong budgeting, cost control and P&L understanding.
• Ability to communicate design concepts clearly to clients.
• Mentor team members and QA/QC of design output.

• Mentor team members with guidance, feedback, QA/QC, and design methods.
• Drive internal coordination with departments to align design, cost, and schedule.
• Collaborate with ops to ensure design intent is executed on the ground and resolve client issues.

• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills Comprehensive and extensive knowledge of materials, costing, GFC details Hands on experience in budgeting and scheduling Entrepreneurial Mindset and understanding of P&L Responsibilities: Project In charge Design Work closely with sales team, develop project brief, lead client presentations/pitches in the region and collaboratively manage design department with the design head.
• Take a lead role in managing the design and creative elements of projects and be point of contact for clients for design discussion Ensure all projects are on track And handle multiple projects at a time Manage workload across the team.
• Be a mentor to team members by providing guidance, feedback, QA/QC, and direction on design methodologies.
• Supervise design process from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional interior design Drive the internal coordination with different departments to ensure alignment on the project design, cost, time, etc.
• Work closely with the ops team to ensure that the design intent is being executed on the ground Work along with the customer in case of any issues & getting the same resolved.
