Job summary

Tint Tone & Shade is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design function across residential interior projects. You will shepherd concept development through execution, ensuring high design quality, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

The role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to guide a team of designers and collaborate with clients, vendors, and site teams. You will mentor designers, review visuals and BOQs, and maintain consistent design standards across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in interior design with team and project leadership.
• Strong space planning, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, detailing.
• Experience managing projects from concept through execution.
• Proficiency in design software AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end interior design process from concept to execution.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, palettes, furniture and lighting.
• Translate client requirements into practical design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with timelines and budgets.
• Mentor interior designers and juniors.

• Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, material palettes, furniture, lighting, and styling.
• Translate client requirements and brief into practical, visually strong design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Lead and mentor a team of interior designers and junior designers.
• Review drawings, 3D visualizations, material selections, BOQs, and detailed design packages.
• Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
• Conduct design reviews and site visits to ensure execution is aligned with the approved design.
• Manage client presentations, feedback, approvals, and expectations throughout the project.
• Source and evaluate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories.
• Identify design and execution issues early and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Maintain consistency in design standards, documentation, detailing, and quality across projects.
• Stay updated on emerging interior design trends, materials, technologies, and industry practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in interior design, with experience managing design teams and projects.
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing.
• Experience managing projects from concept through execution.
• Strong knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or equivalent tools.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and client-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight timelines.
• Strong attention to detail with a high bar for design quality.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial, technical, and execution requirements.
