Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering.
- M.Tech / M.E with relevant experience will be added advantage

Job Summary
The AGM Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) will lead the complete Electrical and Instrumentation function for Greenfield and Brownfield projects, including engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and plant start-up. The role demands experience in mining, cement, mineral processing, pellet plants, or heavy process industries with expertise in entire Electrical domain, automation, power distribution, and industrial control systems. Modern E&I leadership roles typically oversee project execution, commissioning, preventive maintenance planning, automation, and compliance with electrical safety standards and liaison. The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure assignments are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Lead complete E&I activities for Greenfield project execution from concept to commissioning.
- Review / follow electrical and instrumentation engineering drawings, SLDs, GA drawings, cable schedules, and loop diagrams.
- Execute electrical and instrumentation activities for construction, projects execution, erection, commissioning, instrumentation set-up / testing etc., as per project schedules to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Process, Procurement, and OEM teams.
- Drive tasks on installations; execute erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
- Ensure project quality standards and statutory compliance.
Electrical Systems
- Design and execute HT/LT power distribution systems.
- Installation and commissioning electrical substation, transformers HT/LT panels, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, APFC panels, VFDs, and DG synchronization. Installation of cable routing, cable trays, lighting systems and protection, and earthing networks installation, termination, and testing
- Ensure to follow and implement tasks as per electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, and instrumentation layouts
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks during project execution.
Instrumentation & Automation
- Lead selection and commissioning of field instruments such as pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters.
- Ensure installation and commissioning of PLC, SCADA, DCS, field instruments, and automation systems. Execute PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and plant automation systems.
- Configure communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and HART.
- Integrate plant automation with process control systems.
- Perform loop checking, calibration, and control logic validation.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Improve equipment reliability and plant availability.
- Lead troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation failures.
- Maintain CMMS records, equipment history, and spare parts planning.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Finalize technical specifications and evaluate vendors.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants for timely completion of project activities.
- Supervise contractors during installation and commissioning.
- Ensure contractor compliance with quality, safety, and project timelines.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with CEA, IEC, IS, IEEE, and electrical safety regulations.
- Implement LOTO, Permit to Work (PTW), and electrical safety procedures.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure statutory inspections and documentation.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor E&I engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Conduct technical training and skill development programs.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Others
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor project costs and optimize resource utilization.
- Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications and vendor documents.
- Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, and handover records.
