Job summary

Jobtailor in Mumbai seeks a seasoned Project Manager with 10+ years in large engineering or heavy industries to coordinate multi-department activities, manage costs, and ensure on-time delivery of projects. You will liaise with clients and vendors, oversee engineering changes, and supervise procurement and dispatch to maintain schedule.

SAP knowledge is a plus. This role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and proven reporting capabilities to generate project reports

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
• 10+ years of experience in large engineering/project/process/heavy engineering industry.
• Candidates having experience in steel industry will be preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project activity and work progress.
• Overall coordination with client/vendors and within inter-departments for execution and timely completion of projects.
• Control of cost within budgets.
• Timely receipt of client payments as per schedule.
• Coordinate with all the departments for project activities to complete it on time.
• Scheduling of project systems.
• Procurement and dispatch of direct brought-out items as per schedule and give dispatch clearance.
• Manage and coordinate all changes/deviations in engineering and design.
• Manage and coordinate with manufacturing, assembly and dispatch departments for timely and completeness of dispatch.
• Preparation of project reports.
• Generating system specifications.
• Checking & approval of drawings submitted by Electrical system supplier.
• Inspection of systems at vendor's work.
