Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services in Chennai invites applications for an Assistant Finance Manager-GL to oversee group GL activities within the Shared Service Center. The role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and ensuring IFRS compliance.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage intercompany accounting, asset accounting, FX impacts, and provide insightful variance analysis. The ideal candidate has strong ERP and Excel skills and can drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in GL accounting, month-end/year-end closing, journal entries, accruals, provisions and prepayments.
• Strong understanding of Balance Sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, FX, fixed assets and IFRS.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Excel, with an understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow impact.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to investigate variances and provide insights.
• Ability to coordinate across teams, support audits, and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
• Willingness to take ownership, adapt to changing scope, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities
