Level: Full Time
Shifts (if any): 11:00 AM onwards (candidate should be flexible to work as per business requirement)
About the role:
The position requires the candidate to have solid accounting concepts and knowledge in month‑end close and balance‑sheet reconciliations, reconcile GL balances with supporting documents, support business segments during month/quarter end close activities, prepare and post journal entries, assess and interpret customer needs and requirements, identify solutions to non‑standard requests, solve moderately complex accounting problems and conduct complex analyses, work with minimal guidance, and manage a GL team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary focus on month‑end/quarter‑end accounting and reconciliation activities. Monthly closure of books of accounts for legal entities (including but not limited to working on provision of expense, depreciation, and prepaid amortization).
- Prepare JEs and review accounting classifications in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Be well‑versed with Ind‑As/US GAAP such as leases, revenue recognition, etc.
- Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statement of changes in equity. Be involved in month‑end and quarterly close processes.
- Drive process change and implementation thereof.
- Perform ad‑hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations.
- Perform work in both team‑oriented and self‑directed work environments.
- Review monthly TDS payments & prepare advance tax computations. Manage accounting for day‑to‑day business activities.
- Prepare monthly / quarterly / annually consolidated financial statements as per IGAAP/USGAAP of subsidiaries (including associates) and all associated activities to deliver accurate and timely results reporting to management.
- Serve as the key point of contact with external auditors & internal auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance with Indian GAAP/USGAAP.
- Ensure general ledger control, direct tax compliance/assessments, lease accounting and financial reporting.
- Act in dual capacity (client‑facing and/or teammate/team support in an in‑house corporate finance team).
Critical Requirements for the Role (Must‑Haves):
- Qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA (US) with strong technical knowledge of Indian GAAP & USGAAP.
- 4+ years of post‑qualification experience across accounting and taxation.
- Familiarity with Ind‑AS, general accounting, good understanding of US GAAP, proficiency in spreadsheets, and ability to work in teams or alone under self‑direction.
Preferred Requirements (Nice to Haves):
- Experience in a Big Four (Assurance).
- Experience working in global organizations.
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP.
