Job summary

Jindal Power is seeking an experienced engineer to operate and monitor BTG and BOP equipment during shifts, ensuring safe and economical generation. The role requires expert upkeep of HT/LT motors, transformers and switchgear, plus strict safety and compliance leadership.

The incumbent will coordinate with Control Room and lead maintenance activities while maintaining plant performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in handling Shift activities of BTG/BOP area.
• Expertise in equipment condition monitoring, HT and LT switchgear maintenance and trouble shooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor BTG and BOP equipment during shift operations.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and economical operation of the generating unit.
• Monitoring and maintain plant HT/LT motors, Power and Distribution Transformers & HT/LT switchgear parameters within prescribed operating limits.
• Coordinate with the Control Room Shift In charge for smooth plant operation.
• Safety & Compliance Leadership: Enforce strict PTW, LOTO protocols and statutory safety norms to ensure zero accidents/incidents during maintenance works.

Roles and Responsibility/ Duties to be performed.

• Emergency Handling: Ability to respond effectively to boiler trips, turbine trips, generator trips, blackout conditions, and other emergencies.
