Job summary

Jindal Power is hiring a C&I Shift Engineer based in Bhuj, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in monitoring and maintaining C&I systems within power plant operations of 150MW or more capacity. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

The position requires strong knowledge of DCS and PLC systems, and familiarity with BHEL MAX DNA DCS. A B.Tech/B.E. in Instrumentation Engineering is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in C&I maintenance and control systems.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

C&I Shift Engineer

1. BTG Maintenance:

• Monitor and maintain C&I systems of the BTG and its auxiliaries.
• Power plant working experience of 150MW OR more capacity.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions to ensure equipment reliability.
• Knowledge of HPBP/LPBP, CMC, ATRS, FSSS and critical loops of BTG area
• Working experience of Rexroth make servo and trip valves
• Working knowledge of steam turbine & coal fired boiler critical loops and tuning
• TG & Boiler Shutdown and overhauling maintenance experience.
• SWAS & CEMS systems working experience
• Bently Nevada VMS system working experience
• Maintenance and manpower planning

2. DCS Control System:

• BHEL MAX DNA DCS experience required
• Logic development, MIMICs modification, networking, cyber security experience is must.
• Daily DCS monitoring, related checklist filling and documentation upkeep
• Protection checking, startup activities, troubleshooting

3. PLC Control System:

• Siemens/Allen Bradley/Schneider PLC working and logic modification knowledge

4. Spares, Manpower, Vendor Management:

• Listing of spares, PR preparation, spares optimisation, inventory control
• Vender development, contractor dealing
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Contract manpower, subordinates, shift engineer handling

5. Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain high level of safety during work execution
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for work.
• Participate in safety audits and incident investigations.
• Conduct toolbox talk daily, JSA preparation, involve in PJD, PSSR, HIRA, FMEA

6. Documentation, Training & Reporting:

• Maintain logs, maintenance records and history of BTG area.
• Prepare reports on equipment performance, failures, and corrective actions.
• Update drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Prepare monthly/yearly work report, shutdown report
• Develop training plan and conduct trainings for subordinates and contract manpower
