Job summary

JSW Cement Ltd in Ballari district, Karnataka seeks an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage day-to-day electrical activities, troubleshoot faults, and supervise a shift team. The role requires hands-on knowledge of 33KV/6.6KV panels, ABB/Siemens equipment, LV drives, and control systems.

Preference for Karnataka Electrical Supervisor License and BEE certification. The candidate will ensure safe operation, read electrical drawings, and modify E&I diagrams for efficiency and reliability in

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution.
• Experience with HT/LT panels, MCCs, IMCC, and related equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults quickly and manage day-to-day electrical activities.
• Experience with ABB/Siemens relays, VCB/ACB breakers, and microprocessor relays.
• Knowledge of LV drives, LRS systems, and motor maintenance.
• Ability to read control drawings and modify E&I drawings for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot 33KV and 6.6KV electrical panels and associated switchgear.
• Manage shift activities for electrical department and lead the team.
• Trace faults in electrical systems and resolve problems with available resources.
• Test control loops and verify proper operation of control systems.
• Prepare and analyze power generation and consumption reports.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Good knowledge on electrical systems.
• Good knowledge on power distribution systems & techniques
• Engineering expertise, problem solving, organization and planning, attention to details, and knowledge of production processes.
• Good to manage day to day activities related to electrical deptt.
• Good to find out fault in electrical system
• Can handle the shift independently, traced out fault if any occurred and resolved problem with in short duration with available resources
• Hands-on experience on 33KV & 6.6KV ABB HT panels and ABB& Siemens LT PCC.MCC and IMCC (ABB UMC system).
• Hands-on experience on HT motors maintenance and LRS systems, Power, Distribution and converter duty transformer maintenance.
• Knowledge on LV drives system
• Knowledge on ABB HT VCB breakers, ABB & Siemens ACB breakers.
• Knowledge on ABB numerical relays and microprocessor based relays.
• Knowledge on HT< twin drive operations and HT< capacitor banks.
• Troubleshooting of system errors and responsible for team leading and workforce maintenance.
• Able to study and Modification of any E&I Drawing for betterment.
• Good knowledge about industrial safety and its standards.
• Knowledge on RP hydraulic system experience and trouble shooting
• Knowledge on weigh feeder drop test and trouble shooting
• Good knowledge on Instrumentation and control systems, Field instruments.

• Knowledge on weighing systems ie weigh bridge, weigh feeders, belt weigher, bin weigher etc.
• Preparation, analysis, and monitoring of power generation and consumption reports.

Preferred candidate profile

Possession of a Karnataka Electrical Supervisor License and BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) Certification will be an added advantage.
