Team Lead Electrical Boiler/Turbine/Generator
Responsibilities
- Conduct and coordinate with business associates for efficient and reliable maintenance of LT/HT motors rating up to 11000V and 11000 KW.
- Can independently conduct overhauling of LT/HT motors during AOH or COH within stipulated time.
- Lead and develop a team for replacement/inspection of HT motors during breakdown.
- Good knowledge of different types of bearings, motor signature analysis, complete motor testing, vibration measurement of HT & LT motors.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and System Maintenance Plans (SMPs) for BTG and associated areas to reflect current best practices and operational requirements.
- Conduct AOH, COH and manage maintenance during outages, focusing on safe, timely, and efficient project completion within budgets and allotted manpower.
- Able to handle overhauling of 200+ LT motors and 20+ HT motors with different types of ratings during AOH/COH independent.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and conduct equipment failure analysis to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
- Execute proactive maintenance and testing to ensure equipment operates within permissible limits and suggest corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor business associate’s performance, bill certifications, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and act on opportunities for process and system enhancements to meet evolving operational needs and directives from leadership.
- Engage in repairing and refurbishment activities for associated area equipment, ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Perform and monitor the testing of electrical equipment for BTG and associated areas, as required.
Inventory Management
- Manage spares inventory management and development of vital indigenous spares for BTG equipment.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of all BTG equipment and systems.
- Create PRs for materials and services and follow up with Techno commercial team for procurement and contracts awarding and end-to-end closing of process.
- Prepare SES (Service Entry Sheets) for completed services and tracking of payment cycle.
Business Sustainability
- Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, ABEM and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
- Maintain compliance with legal and statutory requirements, including electrical license renewal and certifications for elevators.
- Mitigate hazardous processes, participate in mock drills, and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications
BE/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
Work Experience
13 + years of experience in electrical maintenance within power generation or a related heavy industry.
Preferred Industry
Experience in the power sector, specifically with expertise in the maintenance of Boiler, Turbine, and Generator (BTG) equipment, is highly desirable.
