Job summary

UTTAM in Jaipur is seeking a Production Planner/Coordinator to support and execute daily tanking and manufacturing operations. You will ensure manpower deployment, material availability, quality adherence, and timely production activities while coordinating with production, design, and quality teams.

The role requires B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years of transformer manufacturing or similar experience.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (Must).
• 1–3 years of experience in transformer manufacturing or similar production environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand customer specifications.
• Proficiency in maintaining check sheets, SOPs, and in-process data.
• Good coordination with design, marketing & quality teams.
• Problem-solving skills for NCs and quality issues.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deploy manpower to production areas as per daily plan.
• Prepare and close NCs; ensure quality issues are addressed.
• Ensure availability of Core, Winding, and insulation materials.
• Record data on check sheets and SOPs; close out records.
• Coordinate with design and marketing to align data with customer requirements.
• Maintain in-process data and SOP documents.
• Plan day-to-day CCA activities per weekly plan.
• Ensure manufacturing activities meet customer demand.
• Update consumption data per BOM for each design.
• Uphold shop floor safety standards.

Job description

Main Purpose of the Job:

To support and execute daily tanking and manufacturing operations by ensuring manpower deployment, material availability, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of production activities. The role ensures smooth coordination between the production, design, and quality teams, while maintaining accuracy in process documentation, ensuring safety compliance, and meeting customer-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manpower is deployed to CCA according to the daily plan and efficiency.
• Preparation of NC and closure of NC.
• Responsible for Core, Winding, and insulation availability.
• Check all the points according to the check sheets, fill in data, and maintain records, as well as timely closing of quality issues.
• Discuss with the design team and the marketing team if any data is not as per the customer's requirement.
• Responsible for maintaining the in-process data, like check sheets, SOPS, etc.
• Day-wise planning of the CCA according to the weekly plan.
• Ensure all the manufacturing activities are as per customer demand.
• Maintain Connection copper consumption data of each job.
• Ensure safety on the shop floor.
• Update actual consumption job-wise based on the BOM OF every unique design.

Experience & Qualifications:

Qualification (Must/Desirable): B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in transformer manufacturing or a similar production environment.

Special Skills:

• Strong knowledge of production planning and execution.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand customer specifications.
• Proficiency in maintaining check sheets, SOPs, and in-process data.
• Good coordination and communication skills (with design, marketing & quality teams).
• Problem-solving skills, especially for handling NCs and quality issues.
