Role & responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply planning and material availability for respective commodity.
- Coordinate with Sales, PPC, and Production teams to align demand forecasts with supply plans.
- Ensure timely procurement, supplier scheduling, and delivery execution to meet production and customer requirements.
- Drive daily and monthly supplier coordination for dispatch planning, material commitments, and issue resolution.
- Organize supplier review meetings and escalation calls to address delivery, capacity, and supply concerns.
- Monitor inventory levels and consumption trends to maintain optimum stock while minimizing supply risks.
- Manage supplier invoicing plans and support invoice reconciliation and closure activities.
- Track and improve supplier performance through KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, responsiveness, and quality performance.
- Maintain accurate supply chain records, MIS reports, inventory reports, and supplier scorecards.
- Identify supply risks and implement corrective actions to prevent material shortages and production disruptions.
- Collaborate with Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth supply chain execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, Production, Industrial, Polymer, Plastics Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management preferred.
Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Material Planning, Procurement, or Commodity Management.
- Experience in Automotive OEM, Tier-1 Supplier, or Manufacturing Industry is preferred.
- Exposure to raw material planning, supplier management, inventory control, and demand planning.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Supplier Performance Management.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes including:
- Plastic Injection Molding
- Die Casting
- Sheet Metal Manufacturing
- Metal Stamping
- Fabrication & Welding
- Automotive Assembly Processes
- Basic understanding of quality systems and tools 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, Advanced Excel, and Power BI preferred.
