Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Analyst - Supply Chain to support end-to-end supply chain planning activities within the Automotive/Powertrain business. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain analytics. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive process improvements to enhance overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning
- Support end-to-end supply chain planning activities, including demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management.
- Develop and maintain production plans aligned with customer demand and business requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Demand & Supply Analysis
- Analyze demand trends, forecast accuracy, and supply constraints.
- Support monthly forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain and recommend mitigation plans.
- Perform capacity planning and resource allocation analysis.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze supply chain KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
- Monitor key metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, OTIF, stock availability, and service levels.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for supply chain disruptions and performance gaps.
- Generate data-driven insights to improve planning effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Inventory & Material Planning
- Optimize inventory levels through effective planning and replenishment strategies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage material availability and supplier performance.
- Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and drive corrective actions.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives and working capital improvement projects.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean principles and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for planning automation and digital transformation.
- Participate in supply chain excellence initiatives to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.
- Support standardization of planning processes and reporting systems.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Sales.
- Present planning performance updates and actionable insights to management.
- Work closely with stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues and improve operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Material Planning, or Production Planning.
- Experience in Automotive, Powertrain, Components, or Manufacturing industry is mandatory.
