Job summary

Injectoplast in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is seeking a senior Procurement & Supply Chain professional to lead strategic sourcing of automotive raw materials, polymers, and plastic components.

You will drive supplier selection, negotiations, cost optimization, inventory planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely, cost-effective material availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement & Supply Chain within Automotive industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of polymers and plastic raw materials is mandatory.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for automotive raw materials, components, and polymer/plastic materials.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for automotive raw materials, components, and polymer/plastic materials.
• Manage sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and supplier development activities.
• Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining optimum cost, quality, and inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction and localization opportunities.
• Manage inventory planning and ensure uninterrupted material supply to production.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams.
• Evaluate market trends, material prices, and supply risks, particularly for polymer and plastic raw materials.
• Lead supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and automotive quality requirements.
• Prepare and review procurement, inventory, supplier performance, and cost analysis reports.
• Lead and mentor the Procurement & Supply Chain team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in Procurement & Supply Chain Management within the Automotive Industry.
• Strong knowledge of Polymers and Plastic Raw Materials is mandatory.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, vendor management, and leadership skills.
• Experience in sourcing automotive plastic components/raw materials will be an added advantage
