Job summary

Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited in Maharashtra seeks a Series Support assembly engineer to bridge supplier, BTV function and Production from Series Production to End of Production models. You will handle line complaints, 0 Km failures, containment actions and rework/inspection in liaison with PQE, while tracking effectiveness of actions and preventing line downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience handling line complaints and 0 Km failures.
• Familiarity with containment actions and rework/inspection liaison.
• Experience with CP6/CP8, drive tests, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Problem Management: verify VW MIS on daily basis and perform primary analysis for Q-relevant issues.
• Prepare problem sheets for Q-issues and coordinate containment actions with suppliers.
• Communicate problem sheets to Supplier & BTV and document in SPES.
• Follow up with supplier for corrective and preventive actions and monitor effectiveness.
• Attend rejection room meetings and provide inspection reports and decisions on RTV/ Scrap.
• Actively participate in quality drives and continual improvement meetings.
• Coordinate yard activities with logistics and oversee parts disposition.

• Series Support assembly engineer performs various tasks – Handling of line Complaints & 0 Km failure for Supplier Manufacturing issues, Acknowledgement & Primary analysis , Initiation of containment actions , Finalizing rework / inspection activities in liaison with Supplier & PQE , Effectiveness tracking of containment actions parts, Initiation of quick feedback mechanism for line disruption to avoid line losses ( Downtime).
• Resolution of Quality defects at various checkpoints – CP6, Roll Brake Test, Water test, Drive Test, CP8, Vehicle audit, DKA Audit.
• Problem reporting to Supplier through Global Platform – Konzern Problem Management (KPM)
• Defining & follow-up for Corrective & Preventive actions.
• Focus on internal customer expectations & fulfillment of relevant expectations in time.
• Visit to Supplier to analyze the problems & sustenance of actions.

• Problem Management :
• Verification of VW MIS on daily basis.
• 1.2 In case of Q-relevant issue reported on line , Do the primary analysis for those problems
• 1.3 Preparation of problem sheet for Q-issues which are booked at checkpoints / audits
• 1.4 Downtime verification & Internal communication.
• 1.5 Initiation of containment actions – In case of parts are to be rework then take necessary
• Trials to ensure OK parts are available on line
• 1.6 Assign third party for rework / sorting of affected parts.
• Problem & Containment actions communication
• 2.1 Communicate problem sheet to Supplier & BTV
• 2.2 Preparation of Inspection Report & Problem sheet in SPES System
• 2.3 Problem to be raised in Group System – Konzern Problem Management
• 2.4 Follow-up with supplier for Corrective & Preventive actions
• 2.5 Monitor the effectiveness of supplier action / measure..
• 2.6 Based on the effectiveness closer of KPM & monitoring in the systems.
• Rejection Parts Acknowledgement
• 3.1 In case of Q-Problem is parts then Acknowledge on NC tag.
• Key Responsibilities &Tasks
• 3.2 Attend rejection room meeting in respective shift
• 3.3 Provide Inspection report & Decision on rejection parts – RTV / Claim / Scrap
• Quality Drive :
• 4.1 Actively participation in shop floor meeting – Island, Water test, ECOS, Drive Test, and Front End & Rear End.
• 4.2 Participation in continual improvement meetings – Cubing , Meisterbock
• 4.2 Visit to Supplier for resolution of complaints
• 4.3 Defining & monitoring actions to control & eliminate the defect from Supplier.
• Yard Activities
• 5.1 Prepare documentation & approvals for Yard Activities.
• 5.2 Co-Ordination with Logistics – FIS & Yard team for dispatch schedule & availability of cars.
• 5.3 Guideline for Sorting / inspection of parts on Vehicle.
• 5.4 Final Confirmation from Quality Operation assembly shop once Vehicle is OK.
• 5.5 Report communication to involved agencies – Logistics , QOA , Assembly & Finish Center
