Job summary

Tata Play Fiber is seeking an experienced professional to plan and deploy FTTH (GPON/GEPON/PON) networks and drive partner teams for end-to-end OSP execution. You will ensure the delivery of essential business services and oversee field operations across the network rollout.

The role requires strong coordination, project management, and leadership skills to manage large partner teams, safety compliance, and timely completion of tasks with high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 3-6 years in a functional domain with specialist knowledge in GPON/GEPON/PON.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deploy FTTH network equipment (GPON/GEPON/PON).
• Drive partner teams for Outside Plant (OSP) execution.
• Ensure end-to-end requirements and business services delivery.
• Maintain DPRs and monitor material bookings by partners.
• Oversee Rollout with quality standards, timelines, and KPIs.
• Manage safety and large partner teams; approve invoices.
• Oversee POP infrastructure, racks, and equipment installations.
• Provide daily network uptime dashboards and MTTR metrics.
• Configure networks and resolve faults to ensure data service continuity.

Job Summary

What youll be doing: To ensure planning and deployment of Network of FTTH (GPON/GEPON/PON) equipments and driving partner teams for the execution of Outside Plant (OSP) Network covering end to end requirements and ensuring all the business services are offered.

Requirements

What youll bring to the team:

• Ground Survey: Capture soil strata, utility information, Right of Way formalities and charges for Underground and Aerial permissions.
• Collect Electric/Light Poles information, building level information, and perform home pass surveys as per company format.
• Dark Fiber Routes and Telecom Infrastructure: Conduct surveys for Dark Fiber routes, Telecom HH, and BTS as per operator provided information.
• Identify and finalize TPF POP locations.
• Data Management: Digitize information captured in GIS or equivalent platforms.
• Handle ROW applications and follow-up for Demand Notes and subsequent permissions.
• Partner Onboarding and Network Rollout: Onboard partner teams for execution.
• Oversee end-to-end rollout of FTTH networks through partner teams, ensuring adherence to Quality standards, TAT, and KPIs.
• Project Management: Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and oversee material consumption bookings done by partner teams.
• Ensure First Time Right deployment, conduct Acceptance tests directly or through third-party agencies, and clear punch points within defined TAT.
• Safety and Team Management: Ensure strict adherence to safety measures.
• Manage and supervise large partner teams and certify their invoices for work executed within defined timelines.
• Infrastructure Work: Oversee POP Infra work, including the installation and grouting of Networking Racks, IC of Battery terminals, SMPS, Air-conditioning units, electrical work, and OLT installation through partner teams.
• Network Reporting and Maintenance: Provide daily dashboard reporting for Network Uptime and MTTR for faults and alarms from the OSP network.
• Work with complex network and switching systems, configure networks for smooth data service operations, and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Equipment Management: Oversee new and existing telecom equipment, hardware, and software upgrades, maintaining hardware faults at 1% of installed network elements.
• Generate RMAs for hardware inventory with respective vendors.
• Manage spare parts, ensuring timely availability and replacements.
• Work Order Management: Handle work order management within TAT, and oversee material tracking and management.
• Perform PMT of ISP equipment as per schedule and provide field support.
• Field Team Guidance: Guide field teams in restoring hardware and software faults.
