The role focuses on recruitment, coaching and targeted sales through the agency channel, with extensive travel across the territory.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in insurance broking or life insurance, plus 2+ years in a leadership role, and a strong track record in sales leadership and agency distribution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Insurance Broking/Life Insurance.
• 2+ years in a Team Leader/People Manager role.
• Strong understanding of Retail Life Insurance and Agency distribution.
• Proven track record in team handling, recruitment, sales management and business development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of 58 Relationship Managers and Field Sales Officers.
• Recruit, onboard and develop high-performing agents to strengthen the agency network.
• Drive sales through the agency channel by expanding distribution of insurance advisors and agents.
• Coach and support the sales team through field visits, performance reviews and guidance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and issue resolution.
• Cascade initiatives, incentives and sales contests to keep the team engaged and motivated.
• Travel across 810 cities within the territory to monitor performance and achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 58 Relationship Managers (RMs)/Field Sales Officers (FOS).
• Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing Field Sales Officers to strengthen the agency network.
• Drive sales through the agency channel by building and expanding a strong distribution network of insurance advisors and agents.
• Coach and support the sales team through regular field visits, performance reviews, and continuous guidance.
• Conduct training sessions for RMs and agents to enhance product knowledge, sales capability, and overall performance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless business operations and issue resolution.
• Cascade information related to business initiatives, incentive programs, and sales contests to keep the team engaged and motivated.
• Travel across 810 cities within the assigned territory to monitor team performance, support agent recruitment, and achieve business targets.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Insurance Broking/Life Insurance industry.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a Team Leader/People Manager role.
• Strong understanding of Retail Life Insurance products and the Agency distribution model.
• Proven track record in team handling, recruitment, sales management, and business development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in building and managing agency sales teams.
• Strong people management and field sales exposure.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
