Designated for Fun Business Insurance and BD (HDFC Branch Banking channel). Job Band JB 10. Reporting to Circle Relationship Head HDFC Bank.

Job Purpose

To derive insurance business from assigned relationship/channel partners within a zone, convincing them to invest in Birla Sun Life Insurance and ensuring comprehensive pre‑ and post‑sales support. The role aims to achieve sales targets, maintain consistent business growth quarterly, and uphold high integrity with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets (Premium & Revenue) to contribute to overall growth.
• Maintain continuous interaction with channel partners, including multiple branch heads of the bank.
• Map key decision makers and share information with Relationship (RH) / Zone (ZH) heads.
• Proactively download and execute all reward and recognition (R&D) activities.
• Create innovative branch activities to increase customer penetration.
• Execute smooth sales and process functions to maximize business potential.
• Communicate process changes and regulatory updates via training modules.
• Ensure sales, issuance, and complaint handling are completed without blockages.
• Handle bank customers’ requirements with optimal service and product range.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance and banking products.
• Manage relationships at all levels to deliver desired outcomes.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the allocated area.
• Develop methods to enhance database penetration and activation rates.
• Maintain product mix and product mix ratios (Trad 50% : ULIP 40% : Term 10%).
• Identify training needs and implement acquisition strategies for profitability.
• Analyze business regularly and provide relevant information to superiors.
• Interact with customers via welcome calls, resolve queries, and ensure timely renewals.
