Job summary

Amazon is recruiting Area Managers for its Fulfillment Centers (FCs) in India. The role centers on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity within the department. You will review forecasts to set daily productivity targets and collaborate with other managers to balance labor and achieve goals.

Strong emphasis on safety, OSHA compliance, and continuous process improvement using Lean tools. Prior experience in people management and performance metrics is required to drive results in

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Review the work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet daily objectives for the FC.
• Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and run a balanced, efficient shift.
• Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for associates.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.

• Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
