Job summary

Manba Finance Limited is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to lead a regional collection team and drive recovery performance across assigned portfolios in Pune. You will design strategies, monitor delinquency trends, and ensure adherence to policies while delivering targets.

The role requires strong leadership, negotiation, analytical skills, and hands-on oversight of field collections, MIS reporting, and performance reviews to optimize outcomes and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; an MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• Typically 4-7 years of experience in collections or recovery, preferably in banking or NBFCs.
• At least 13 years of team-handling experience is preferred.
• Experience managing field collections and delinquency portfolios is desirable.
• Good knowledge of collection strategies, MIS reporting, Excel, and collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly collection and recovery targets for the assigned area.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce bounce rates.
• Ensure timely follow-up on overdue and default accounts.
• Manage and supervise collection executives, field collectors, and collection agencies.
• Allocate targets and portfolios to team members.
• Conduct daily performance reviews and periodic field visits.
• Train and coach team members to improve productivity and recovery performance.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and achievement of individual targets.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance.
• Analyze collection efficiency, overdue portfolio, bucket movement, and recovery trends.
• Prepare MIS reports and share performance updates with management.
• Identify high-risk accounts and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure accurate reporting of collections and reconciliation of receipts.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalated collection-related issues.
• Coordinate with branch teams, credit, operations, legal, and repossession teams, where applicable.
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlements within approved company policies.
• Maintain professional customer relationships while ensuring timely recovery.

Key Responsibilities

A. Collection & Recovery Management
