Job summary

AVP Architects in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Senior Architectural Draftsman with 8-12+ years of experience to lead detailed working drawings and construction documentation for residential, commercial, and high-rise projects.

The role requires coordinating with structural, MEP, and landscape teams, ensuring precision in drawings, schedules and detailing to support site execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12+ years of experience in architectural drafting.
• Strong expertise in working drawings and construction documentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and reading architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience with high-rise residential and commercial projects is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape and other consultants.

Senior Architectural Draftsman Job Profile

Position: Senior Architectural Draftsman
Experience: 8–12+ years preferred
Department: Architectural / Design & Documentation

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Draftsman with strong expertise in preparing detailed working drawings and architectural construction documentation for residential, commercial, and high-rise projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural working drawings from design concepts and approved plans.
• Develop GA drawings, floor plans, sections, elevations, enlarged details, and construction details.
• Prepare detailed drawings for toilets, kitchens, balconies, staircases, lift lobbies, faade elements, entrance lobbies, and other architectural components.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, landscape, and other consultants.
• Prepare detailed door-window schedules, finish schedules, railing details, flooring layouts, ceiling plans, and material details.
• Incorporate site requirements and consultant/client comments into working drawings.
• Check drawings for dimensions, levels, coordination, accuracy, and constructability before issue.
• Prepare drawings suitable for site execution and contractor use.
• Coordinate with site teams and resolve drawing-related execution issues.
• Maintain proper drawing standards, revisions, numbering, and documentation.
• Review junior draftsmen's drawings and guide them on technical detailing.

Required Skills

• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and architectural drafting.
• Strong understanding of working drawings and construction detailing.
• Good knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong understanding of high-rise residential and commercial projects will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet drawing deadlines.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in an architectural consultancy handling large-scale residential towers, high-rise buildings, commercial projects, podiums, and detailed construction documentation will be preferred.

Key Requirement: Candidates must have strong practical experience in working drawings and detailed architectural construction drawings, not only 3D modelling or presentation drawings.
