Job summary

PeopleStrong in Chennai is seeking an experienced Architect – EDRC (PAF) to lead architectural design from concept to construction details for commercial building projects.

You will coordinate with structural, MEP and other disciplines, select materials, and ensure drawings comply with NBC and other standards, delivering on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Architecture is mandatory.
• Master's in Architecture is preferred.
• 7 to 15 years of relevant work experience in commercial buildings; airport design preferred.

Job Purpose

Responsible for preparing the architectural design concept, scheme, detail design and construction details stages as per the scope of the project in compliance with statutory rules and regulations. Selection of materials, specifications and quantity estimation of the same. Design coordination with other disciplines and resolving inter disciplinary design issues. Ensuring proper, timely and effective delivery of drawings and documents for construction and adhering to relevant codes and standards.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

(degree, training, or certification required)

• Bachelors in Architecture (Mandatory)
• Masters in Architecture (Preferred)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

(no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)

7 to 15 years of relevant work experience of commercial buildings. Preference shall be given to Airport design

TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Architect shall have a passion for innovation and have good presentation and convincing skills.
• Familiar with relevant codes and standards NBC, NFPA, IATA, ICAO etc ,technical knowledge of the detail design engineering process.

• Should be Proficient with the latest design software like Revit Arch, AutoCAD, Sketchup Pro
• Material Requirement & Specifications Management
