Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking an Application Support professional with 5–8 years of experience to handle Kafka-based applications, UNIX environments, and batch processes.

You will develop documentation, automate tasks, and ensure stability against SLAs, performing start-of-day checks, monitoring, handovers, and planning tasks with estimation.

This role demands hands-on support across platforms to keep mission-critical services running smoothly for our clients.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in application support.
• Strong expertise in Kafka and batch management.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and SQL.
• Ability to automate tasks via shell scripting.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation.

• Responsible for Batch Management, End of version Software's and toolsets Upgrades, Automate Manual Tasks and Platform Build Project Management. Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
• Manages, maintains, and supports applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations
• Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover, Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
• Supports program planning, engineering work breakdown structure, task estimation and scheduling
